What I got for my Birthday | Lifestyle

As some of you may know, I turned the ripe age of 24 earlier this week! To celebrate my extremely generous fiancé took me to the Harry Potter Studio Tour for the day! You can see a few pics in this post and on my Instagram. There we had a great day, he’d never been before so he really enjoyed it! Then we came home and ate lots of chocolate cake and had party snacks from Marks and Spencers Christmas range, yum yum! I thought I’d share the gifts I received from my mum and Shehzad. I feel so thankful for these gifts, I don’t ask for anything usually so I think my mum was happy she was buying me something I actually wanted and knew I would use!

I’d been wanting a new casual black bag for so long. I love this Black zip detail bag from Next. It’s the perfect size for work so I can take my packed lunch and iPad and actually store it in my extremely small locker! And perfect for days out if I want to take my camera.

The Canon 75-300mm lens has been on my wishlist for so long, I squealed with excitement when I unwrapped it along with the ET-60 lens hood! So I’m excited to play with these soon! Sleeping Beauty was also on the list, surprisingly Shehzad didn’t own it so decided I needed it (massive Disney nerd). And a new compact mirror was needed to replace my precious MAC WonderWoman mirror that sadly smashed in my suitcase on the way home.

I also got Asiana Wedding Magazine Winter 2014 edition to help give me inspiration! I picked two books which I’d heard good things about! Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And other concerns) by Mindy Kaling. I just love her! And The 100 Day 21 by Kass Morgan, because I’ve read the first book and couldn’t put it down and now I just can’t wait to find out what happens next!

I also picked out some winter essentials, I loved these navy blue chunky knit hat, scarf and mittens. Mittens were an absolute must and the fact they’re fingerless gloves aswell is even better (especially for work).

After the Harry Potter Studio Tour we ran to the gift shop to pick out some goodies. Sweets were a must, I just love the novelty really. A Bloody Pop, a Honeydukes Banana pop, chocolate frog and Queenbee Fizzing Whizzbees! And finally I just couldn’t resist treating myself to this teacup and saucer to resemble the interior of Delores Umbridges office! An evil witch but her love for cats and pink are our only similarities.

We also promised we’d get eachother a Christmas present so we did just that. Watch this space for what I received!

So that’s what I received for my birthday! Don’t you love birthdays? 😀 Maybe not so close to Christmas though :p
