November Favourites | Beauty and Beyond

Ahh, November. A cold and windy month. I actually started my new job at the beginning of November, which would explain the lack of posts throughout the month. I just didn’t have much time to really write and schedule posts as I was commuting from London to Basingstoke for the first two weeks then working the early shifts for the following two and feeling exhausted by the end of the day and just wanted to sleep when I got home.

However despite that, I did discover some lovely products thanks to an Autumn Beauty Swap, #bbloggers chats and just nosing around Lush and Boots by myself on my lunch breaks. Here’s my favourite products for November, I apologise for the photography. I’m sure we can all agree that I seriously need to invest in a studio tent, well it’s my Birthday in less than two weeks and I’m hoping to receive one so… *fingers crossed*

Grease Lightning | £5.95

I discovered this during a lunch break looking for Secret Santa gifts in Lush. The sales assistant explained that it worked wonders for her breakouts and those pesky deep spots that haven’t quite surfaced yet. I just had to try it for myself. Just a week in and I am in love with this product, even my mum sneaks into my room to dab a little onto her problem areas. I will definitely be repurchasing!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Glam Plum Fulham | £6.49

I received this gorgeous plum beauty of a lipstick in the Autumn Beauty Swap from the lovely Albertine at Dippy Writes. I absolutely love the colour and texture, it glides over the lips and leaves them feeling soft and smooth, no chapped lines or drying out!

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in Light Porcelain | £5.99

During a #bbloggers chat I was recommended this by a fellow bloggers. My extremely pale complexion teamed with oily/combination skin gives me a hard time finding the right texture and finish of foundations. This one has a lovely coverage and keeps my face looking matte and gorgeous all day. I still have the problem with makeup slipping but I’m sure that can we solved with a setting spray.

Witch Mattifying Moisturiser | £4.99

I discovered this in the skincare isle of Boots. I’ve been looking for a mattifying moisturiser specifically for oily/combination skin. It’s really light yet moisturising and gives a matte finish. I love that it contains witch hazel extract, it really helps towards my oily complexion.

Outside Beauty:

Lifestyle: I treated myself to a huge bed and all new duvet, pillows and sheets as I started a new job this month! I cannot explain how comfy this bed is, I want to hibernate now!

Tech: I won this incredible GHD Eclipse styling irons in the #InStyleVIP competitions in October. When they arrived I basically squealed all the way to my room to get them out and try them. I am in love!

Fashion: Okay, so it’s not exactly fashion but I went to a belated Halloween party in early November and couldn’t resist dressing up as Catwoman as Matt was dressing up as Batman and Fran as Harley Quinn! I’m no Ann Hathaway but it was an awesome night!

Makeup of the Day: Getting a lot more confident with colours. Blush, contour and highlighting and dark plum lips! The next step? Bolder eyes, experimenting with shadows and liners!

Blog: Laura over at Heroine in Heels. She’s a fellow foodie bloggers that gives me serious food envy. She finds the best places to eat in London and devours delicious burgers and sips the most colourful of cocktails! I hope to be invited to join her on a foodie adventure sometime!

Are any of these products your favourites? What products should I try in December?
